Speaker Announcement: Karen Bao

This is our last speaker announcement of 2015! What a fabulous one, though.

We are overjoyed to announce that Karen Bao will be leading a writing workshop at the 2015 Chapter One Young Writers Conference!

Karen Bao is the author of the phenomenal YA science fiction series The Dove Chronicles (Penguin Random House). The first book in the series, Dove Arising, came out earlier this year to critical praise–including a blurb from the one and only Christopher Paolini, who called her “an incredibly talented young writer” and “a promising new talent.” (Go Karen!) When she isn’t writing, Karen is also a musician and aspiring ecologist, studying environmental biology at Columbia University. She began writing Dove Arising when she was seventeen.
