Ch1Con has been such a pivotal influence on my writing experience. As a young writer, it is a bit daunting trying to find one’s place in the world of words. Before my first conference, writing was just a hobby of mine—a really, really intense hobby. Now, I am pursuing careers involving it. This organization has provided me with a community and the confidence to share my voice through what I pen and type. That’s not to mention all of the resources—from anthology competitions that lead to first publications, to mentorships with explicit insider tips, to writing buddies from different states whom I can turn to at any moment for advice—that the people behind the tomato put so much work into. Joining Ch1Con is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I cannot wait to attribute my success to them in the future!
