TCWT May Blog Chain

Ch1Con Banner

Hello everyone! This month, as part of the Ch1Con 2015 Blog Tour, we here at Ch1Con are hosting the Teens Can Write, Too! blog chain for May. For more information about TCWT’s  blog chain, check out this link.

The topic for this month, in honor of how conference-going helps us improve our skills, will be:

“What is your greatest weakness as a writer? What’s your greatest strength?”

We want to hear all about your strengths and weaknesses! I (Kira Budge) just recently became too old for the blog chain (*LE GASP*), but if I were to answer this, for example, I’d probably talk about how much I struggle with being detailed in my books but how good I am at writing a lot very quickly.  In recognizing where our strengths and weaknesses lie, we all of us become equipped with the knowledge we need to become even better at our craft. And it’s also cool to compare where other community members fill in the gaps of your strengths! (Maybe you’ll find some good critique partners to balance you out in the process of this blog chain. Who knows?)

So to participate in this blog chain, please comment below with the dates you can do and a link to your blog. I will assign dates in the replies. I will also post the schedule on the Blog Chain page on TCWT, which was linked above. The chain, as always, will begin on the 5th.

Thanks so much for participating! We look forward to what you have to say. I’ve only been able to read a few of the posts from last month, but you guys brought out your sass, intelligence, and creativity in wonderful full force. 🙂 Good job and keep it up!

October Ch1Con Chat Recap + POLL

Thanks to everyone who joined us for last night’s Ch1Con Chat! If you missed the shenanigans, you can watch the recording below. (Protip: Skip the first twenty five minutes to avoid the worst of the night’s technical difficulties.) (Google+ hates all that is good in the world.)

The next Ch1Con Chat will take place Thursday, November 6th at 8:00 PM eastern. (And hopefully will involve far fewer tech probs.) Want to help us decide the topic of November’s chat? Vote in the poll below!

Thanks again!

2014 Conference

Thanks for coming!

Hey there, awesome people!

Ch1Con 2014 finished with a bang yesterday, and we are SO GRATEFUL to everyone who attended, spoke, and volunteered to make this year’s conference such a success! We can’t wait to start planning for next year.

If you missed the live stream of our panel on Saturday (or just want to re-watch all the fun), you can check that out here.

Also: Kira and I did a podcast with Newbie Writers! Listen to us laugh awkwardly and ramble about conference mascot Larry the Man-Eating Hamster here.

We have lots of exciting stuff coming your way, so stay tuned!
