The Chapter One Events team is ecstatic to announce our next speaker for the 2019 Chapter One Young Writers Conference and Chapter Twenty-One Conference: YA contemporary author Riley Redgate!
Riley Redgate is the author of Seven Ways We Lie, Final Draft, and Noteworthy, which was named a Best Teen Book of 2017 by Kirkus and the New York Public Library. She grew up in North Carolina, majored in economics at Kenyon College, and now lives in Chicago. She has also written for The Onion, America’s Finest News Source. Riley will be leading workshops at both Ch1Con and Ch21Con. Her workshop at Ch1Con will be on the topic of “Unwrapping Your Characters” and her workshop at Ch21Con will be on the topic of “Writing the Query Letter.” She will also be speaking on the conferences’ combined ask anything panel and signing books at the end of the day.
